The Blue Way cycle route

The Blue Route elected Cycle Route of the Year 2026 at the Dutch trade fair "Fiets en Wandelbeurs"

The cycle route of La Voie Bleue crosses the Côte-d'Or where fishermen's cottages and slipways follow one another, signs of intense human activity.

First stage : Talmay Castle and its impressive keep overlook the village; don't hesitate to stop and visit its gardens in summer and explore the castle interior. Continuing your journey, you'll pass through the small village of Heuilley-sur-Saône, known for its waterways and popular with fishing enthusiasts, where you can enjoy a refreshing break in summer by renting canoes. You'll then continue your trip along the towpath to discover the village of Pontailler-sur-Saône, which offers a variety of shops and activities.

Second step You can continue your journey by crossing the village of Vielverge. Feel free to take a refreshing break at the Gravière des Prés Bourrés, where you can stretch your legs with a short 3 km walk around the ponds. You will then continue your route, alternating between small country roads and the banks of the Saône, to reach the town of Auxonne, a former fortified stronghold.
