The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption
This small Romanesque church, remodeled in the 18th century, houses several polychrome statues and a famous painting from a donation by Napoleon III.
The Virgin and Child seated, known as Our Lady of Champfort, a polychrome wooden statue of approximately 50 cm, dating from the 13th century, was classified as a historical monument in 1925. Two statues of 16th-century saintly bishops in polychrome stone and a carved wooden altarpiece, also from the 16th century, can also be seen.
The tomb of General Paulin
This general, born in 1782, took part in numerous military campaigns commanded by Napoleon Bonaparte. He later served as mayor of the town for 45 years. It was he who suggested that the parish request a donation from the State, specifically the Fine Arts division, for the decoration of the church.
The painting was officially presented by Emperor Napoleon III; painted by Madame Gerbaud, it depicts Christ on the cross.
