The dam on the Saône

It helps to regulate the river, particularly during periods of flooding. It is located between the Heuilley-sur-Saône and Auxonne dams. It was modernized in 1995: a new dam was built 10 meters downstream from the old one, which was subsequently demolished.

It is controlled from a hydraulic power unit, to more easily manage the equipment and offer more safety to the dam operators.
