Montmancon

The municipal weighbridge

As in many villages in France, Montmançon had a public weighbridge to weigh animals, hay and grain (wheat…) intended for sale.

The device could weigh up to 15 tons. The weighing scale was located inside a building, which no longer exists. The use of the communal weighbridge gradually declined until it disappeared in the second half of the 20th century.

The Church of the Nativity

It dates from the 19th century. Surprisingly, it does not have a vault but a flat ceiling.
