Drambo
The Drambon Forges
In the 19th century, two forges and a blast furnace employed more than 800 people in Drambon.
By 1600, the village was already supplying cannons and cannonballs to the royal armies. In 1802, the factory produced 600 tons of pig iron and 400 tons of wrought iron. Operations ceased in 1881.
Today nothing remains of it. Only the canal and a few details of the facades still bear witness to this former industry.
