Athée Town Hall
This lovely 16th-century Renaissance castle houses the town hall in its main wing. Built around a medieval tower, the cross-shaped complex is organized around a central chapel.
In the tower, the last remaining vestige of the old fortified castle, is the "Louis XIV room," named after the famous guests who stayed there. The Queen of France, Marie-Thérèse, and the Dauphin Louis XIV were welcomed there in 1674 to escape the plague that was raging in Auxonne.
Church of the Nativity
Built partly of brick, it was restored in the 19th century around the choir and part of the transept dating from the 13th century.
The tower and the spire of the bell tower are covered with slate, while the clock is adorned with small sculpted heads.
