The Notre-Dame-de-la-Levée chapel
The chapel, built in 1520, consists of two brick buildings. Its small entrance door is surmounted by a stone arch and an oculus. The upper section features a polygonal apse, buttresses, and a ribbed vault lit by Gothic-style ashlar windows. The building was purchased by the municipality of Auxonne in 1867 and listed as a historical monument in 1932.
It is also called the Napoleon Chapel because the young Napoleon Bonaparte often went there for walks during his stay in the Val de Saône.
Saint-Michel church
This brick church, dating from the 16th century, is illuminated by beautiful stained-glass windows. Burned down in the 17th century, it has been largely renovated since the 19th century.
In 1841 the bell tower was rebuilt, in 1859-61 a wall was added with an iron gate in front of the church, in 1862 steps were installed at the bottom of the bell tower and in 1880 the bell tower was fitted with a clock.
The Chapel of Saint Philomena
Restored in 2018, it is the only remaining vestige of the original Gothic church. It is decorated with earthenware tiles from the former Villers-les-Pots pottery works. It houses the tomb of Saint Philomena as well as statuettes of the saint with a broken hand: it was customary to break the right hand of the statuette before making a vow.
